Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine has a unique style which combines R&B with gospel, soul music and R&B. Avery Sunshine has performed on Broadway and in festivals throughout Europe. She has also performed at performing at Democratic National Convention. Sunshine has been born Denise White. Although she is a resident of Atlanta at present, Sunshine comes originally from Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she started out as a musician by singing and playing in the church in town. After attending Spellman College, Atlanta she embarked on her journey of music in Atlanta's R&B musical scene. The Fighting Temptations The single featuring her voice, Stalk You the House, was only released in Japan. The song has been remixed many times, and is the mainstay of her live show. Her voice also appeared on the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. She became the primary piano player for Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. In 2007 Grammy as well as Tony Awards-winning vocalist Jennifer Holliday sought her out to be the director of choral for the stage production of Dreamgirls in the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine rose to prominence during the four daily performances of The 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine sang during Barack Obama's Inauguration in 2009.
