Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento
Ashton Blaise Whitty born October 1st, 1995. She was born in Berkeley California USA. Her work includes actor in Choices (2010). The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2007) and Chrissie Mayr's Content House 2022.
Asia Argento was raised in Rome by a film and actor family. Both professions she pursued her own. The Church was directed by Michele Soavi. Red Wood Pigeon, the film she appeared in as Nanni Moretti's little daughter was released just a few years later. But it came from Close Friends by Michele Placido that made Asia's acting career begin to take off. The film received a great reception at the Cannes International Film Festival. In Trauma she appeared for the first time alongside her father, the renowned Italian horror director Dario Argento her mother is one of Argento's favorite actresses, Daria Nicolodi, playing an overweight girl on the lookout of her parents' murderer. Asia's absorbed and intense performance style was put to good use in the film Condannato a nozze. The role she played as Arianna in the film Perdiamoci by Carlo Verdone di vista, which focuses on a physically disabled girl, was a challenging and complex role that earned she the David di Donatello award as the most outstanding actress. The film also featured her in a major part in Queen Margot, directed by Patrice Cereau. In 1995, she was a co-star together with Michel Piccoli on Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio. This collaboration earned her an award from the David diDonatello as well as the Grolla of Oro. In 1994, Asia decided to try the art of directing, and produced two short films an episode of the movie De Generazione In 1996 she directed a documentary on her father and, in 1998, another film on the the cult director Abel Ferrara, AbelAsia which received an award from The Rome Film Festival. Asia began directing her debut feature film in 1999, Scarlet Diva. In the movie she also acted as the lead actress and also directed the script. The film released May 20, 2000, both in Italy in addition to the rest of world. The Williamsburg Film festival held in Brooklyn, New York awarded the film with a award.
